Cold Water Therapy

The Method (how to…)

In order to see results and improvement you should perform the cold shower method that I will describe systematically for at least few months, if not more. Generally speaking, I believe results can be seen as soon as 3-5 month.

Cold showers by no means are dangerous if performed correctly. But I am not your personal doctor and do not know your personal health condition. Therefore, I must write the following guidelines for everyone. I do believe that Cold Water Therapy can be performed even if a person has different health conditions, in fact, some conditions might be improved. But once again, speaking and writing to general public, in order to protect you and me, I must make some general guidelines:

1) Make sure you are healthy and do not suffer from any kind of illness or chronic diseases and do not take any medications.
2) Consult your doctors before doing my method: Cold Water Therapy.
3) Do not do take cold showers if you are sick or lacking sleep.
4) Pregnant women should avoid Cold Water Therapy
5) You must agree to the disclaimer

METHOD:

This is a simple method that I usually suggest to an average person:

The cold shower should be taken once a day, or at least four times a week.

In the end of your regular shower (no one takes that away), change the water temperature to the coldest possible. Start pouring the cold water on you - neck and below, never on your head. You can start pouring the water slowly on your feet and hands then advance to the whole body (no head). Let the cold water run over your shoulders, neck and back.

O
ne minute of cold water is good and you can stop at that time. It might be  fine to get to 5 minutes,  but I would not advice going over. Of course, all that time should be added in moderation. Let the 'cold shower' be the ending of your shower; do not pour hot water after the cold shower.

The first time you start the therapy, start pouring water on your feet and shins only for 5 seconds. Perform the same thing daily for 2 weeks. On week 2-4 start pouring cold water on thighs and below for 5 seconds. Advance with time according to the table below:

These are the basics of the Cold Water Therapy. Nothing too complicated. Your body will learn to adjust to the temperature changes which will eventually strengthen your immune system. Try it yourself and see. If you feel comfortable at 30-40 seconds and want to stop there, it is fine. Just make sure you do it daily. This should be your routine. You can advance according to this table to a one minute.

Do not put cold water on your head. As you can see in a table it stops with shoulders.

 * Remember not to take cold showers if you are sick or lacking sleep. If at any time you get sick, stop the cold showers and resume when you are well. It is best to give it one week rest after you got well to make sure your body gets into the right balance.

* Do not take cold showers if you feel overly tired or had too much exercise the same day.

A little secret for you: when you take the cold shower or at any other time of the day (preferably before going to sleep, in relaxed mood), stop for a second, and tell yourself that you are healthy and strong. Imagine and believe that you are already (no matter what your health conditions are) healthy, happy, strong, and prosperous. Your mind and your subconscious mind has enormous power, take advantage of it.

And always remember: The Best is Yet to Come!
